Mannequins are becoming increasingly popular in Addis Ababa; these days at least a handful of them are seen outside each boutique and garment shop in the capital. Ironically, most of them are depiction of the Caucasian Figurine although they are modeling clothes for Ethiopians. Another unique phenomenon is the appearance of mannequin in all shapes and sizes: depicting small children, youngsters, plus size male and female and others. The mannequins are also becoming more aggressive and leaving the shops and coming out into the streets aiming at drawing more customers. In fact, these days, they are camped outside almost exclusively blocking sidewalks and chocking pedestrian movement.
