Inquiry over EPL match fixing in limbo

In organized sports, match fixing happens as a match is played to a completely pre-determined result, violating the rules of the game and often the law. According to some sources, the most common reason for match fixing is to obtain a payoff from gamblers, but players may also intentionally perform poorly to gain a future advantage.

Almaz nominated for World Athlete of the Year Award 

World champion Almaz Ayana has been nominated for the 2017 World Athlete of the Year Award. Almaz, who is 10,000m gold medalist and 5,000m silver medalist at the 2017 IAAF London Athletics Championship, is among a list of top 10 women athletes from round the world.
